Shore Search Survey 2 Minehead Bay Saturday 27th April 2024 12.30pm -4.00pm

Join our team of local volunteers to carry out a seashore survey as part of an ongoing survey of intertidal habitats along the Somerset coast.

The data are being collated as part of a national survey being carried out by Wildlife Trusts across the UK. You do not need to have any prior experience of ecological survey work or of seashore ecology as there will be experts on hand to assist you.  Both complete beginners and people already trained in the ShoreSearch methods are very welcome. Somerset Wildlife Trust will provide all the sampling kit, survey sheets and identification guides. 

This survey is part of Minehead's Spring Nature Watch Day organised by Somerset Wildlife Trust, Minehead and Coast Development Trust, the National Trust and Exmoor National Park Authority.  Members of the public will be invited to join in with part or all of the intertidal surveys. More details will be provided to volunteers after booking.

Full details of the Nature Watch Day will be provided separately and no booking will be required for that.
