Snowdrop Valley 2nd -27th February 2022

Snowdrop Valley has been open to the public as an official event since 1998, with some visitors returning every year to remind themselves of this beautiful, local, secret valley.


Snowdrop Valley is a privately owned remote valley in a hidden part of Exmoor close to Wheddon Cross

The Badgworthy Land Company kindly allow access to the valley while the beautiful carpet of snowdrops is in bloom throughout February each year

Wheddon Cross is to welcome visitors to Snowdrop Valley from1st Feb to 27th Feb 2022 - weather and Covid rules permitting

The road to the Valley will be closed throughout February

Draper’s Way, the road to Snowdrop Valley, will be CLOSED to all but permit holders with the exception of blue badge holders, who will have to pay a deposit for a permit, available from the Market Car Park kiosk.

The main parking will be at the Cutcombe Cattle Market Car Park. It has plenty of space and will be open every day except on market days - to be announced.  There is a daily charge per car. Maps of the walks will be available from the parking kiosk.

There is NO organised bus service to and from Snowdrop Valley this year. However there will be a Land Rover service offered by the local safari companies for a fee. To book contact The Rest and Be Thankful Pub Tel: 01643 841222.

Light refreshments are available from a refreshments trailer in the Market Car Park run by the local charities. Refreshments are also available from the local Shop, The Rest and Be Thankful Pub and Exmoor House.

Free toilets can be found at the Rest and Be Thankful Car Park.


Please wear suitable warm waterproof footwear
as the paths will be slippery and muddy at that time of year
