The Exmoor Camera Club was started by a professional photographer, who was keen to pass on the knowledge gained over a career spanning some 30 years, and a desire to create a social environment for photographers.
Our philosophy is to enjoy and share the beauty of Exmoor National Park through our photography. It is a not for profit club with over 100 members through Facebook and attracting around 15 photographers on each of our regular social Photowalks.
Whatever your preferred medium; Digital, Film or Mobile Phone photography, or level of ability; from professional, enthusiast, hobbyist or complete beginner, everyone is welcome. The aim is to share knowledge, enjoy a walk, take pictures and socialise.
The club hosts up to 6 totally FREE of charge Social Photowalks across Exmoor National Park each month from Spring to Autumn. Our walks vary between 2 hour evening Photowalks and All Day photography events. Most of which begin or end at a venue for a drink and/or food, for our all day walks we will encourage photographers to bring their own refreshments.
To join a Photowalk all you need to do is visit the clubs Facebook event page select the event, or events, you are interested in and say that you are “Going” that’s it and we look forward to seeing you. For more information on our, Social Photowalks click here.
The club also hosts key workshops to enhance your photographic skills, they are run on a not for profit basis and any fees quoted are to cover the cost of running the workshop only i.e. to hire the room. The workshops cover a range of subjects from capture to post-processing to print. From picture editing to more technical post-production photography workshops in Bookmaking, Print mounting/framing, Pin Hole Photography, and how to sell your photos, see menu above.
