The Radio Museum in Watchet

The museum is currently open on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, 10am to 5pm and there is no admission fee but donations are welcome.

The museum consists of my own collection of radio, television and broadcasting equipment, ephemera, documentation and recordings with some emphasis on the history of the Washford Transmitting Station.

Only about a third of the eventual display space has been prepared and opened, however I hope to have the next stage open for the 1940s weekend in September 2019 and the rest, by Easter 2020.

There are presently about 40 radios, televisions, gramophones and record players on display as well as several items of BBC and military equipment. There is much more to come when more space has been prepared............
