Hestercombe Gardens

Forty acres of woodland walks, cascades and temples, vivid colours, formal terraces and views that take your breath away. A unique combination of three period gardens: the Georgian landscape, Victorian terrace and formal Edwardian garden.

Did you know that only a few minutes from Taunton's town centre and 5.9 miles from Junction 25 off the M5 are the exquisite Hestercombe Gardens? The gardens consist of a Georgian landscape garden designed by Coplestone Warre Bampfylde, a Victorian terrace and shrubbery and  Edwardian Lutyens/Jekyll formal gardens making up fifty acres of woodland walks, temples, terraces, pergolas, lakes and cascades.

In addition to these breathtakingly beautiful gardens, the fully licensed Stables Restaurant & Coffee Shop around a sunny courtyard serves tasty snacks, a range of coffees and teas and delicious lunches every day. The Garden Shop is full of gorgeous gifts, cards and lovely things for the home and garden. The Lutyens Gallery displays local art with new exhibitions every month.  Also visit the beautifully restored 17th century watermill with its seasonal Mill Tea Garden.

Hestercombe is open every day from 10am to 5.30pm, except Christmas Day, and has many events throughout the year.
