Morning: Take a steam train and travel the line to Watchet via West Somerset Railway

Lunchtime: Picnic on the beach or lunch in a local cafe
Afternoon: Fossil hunting on Watchet beach and then maybe call in to the town’s Boat Museum and Market House Museum.
If it’s wet, travel a little further afield on the railway, or visit Tropiquaria or Minehead Eye.
Weekend for Couples
Friday
Afternoon: Visit Minehead Museum and explore the town and harbour, including the Maritime Mile seafront trail
Evening: Fish and chips on the seafront. Live music in local pub.
Saturday
Day trip on the West Somerset Railway. Buy a rover ticket for unlimited travel to explore each station on the line
Lunchtime: Enjoy the catering onboard or stop at one of the stations along the route and explore the neighbouring area to grab a bite to eat
Afternoon: Cream tea at Stogumber station
Evening: Eat out in a local restaurant - most use locally-sourced ingredients. Then watch a performance at The Regal Theatre, Minehead
Sunday
Morning: Drive up North Hill, may be take a walk up to Selworthy Beacon to blow away the cobwebs and enjoy the views of Porlock Bay and the Welsh coastline. Spot the native Exmoor Ponies.
Lunchtime: Traditional Sunday lunch in a local hotel/pub/restaurant
Afternoon: Relax in Blenheim Gardens listening to outdoor concert
Evening: Meal in local restaurant (most use locally sourced ingredients)
Monday
Return home via Watchet. Explore the town and lunch in cafe

Afternoon: Explore the town and harbour, including the Maritime Mile seafront trail

Morning: Bus to Porlock Weir. Walk the South West Coast Path back to Minehead with a lunch time picnic on North Hill
Evening: Eat out at a local pub/restaurant. Star gazing on Dunkery Beacon

Afternoon: Journey home via Blue Anchor for a walk along the seafront and maybe a last cream tea in a local cafe
Things to do in a day
Hire a bike and explore the area via peddle-power
Do a Storywalk, Town Trail or follow the Maritime Mile Trail followed by a visit to the museum, via the Maritime Mile.
Take the children to Minehead EYE or Tropiquaria followed by fish chips on the seafront
Just relax on the beach - reading a book, crab lining, paddling, swimming; whatever you prefer
Spend a day on the water with Channel Adventure, from kayaking to paddle boarding, coasteering to outdoor swimming.
