Discover hidden treasure in Minehead!

With a range of things to do for all ages, Minehead Bay is a fantastic seaside holiday destination for families, couples and those with a sense for adventure.

There are beaches to explore, a fishing quarter and an historic harbour. There’s a 14th Century church on the hill and the much-photographed historic Church Steps. Take a walk down the tree-lined Avenue and visit the selection of tea rooms, pubs and independent shops in the town centre.

Grab yourself a bike or get out on the water for some paddleboarding or kayaking. Or just take a seat and watch the world go by in the flower-filled Blenheim Gardens or on the seafront.

It’s also an ideal base to explore the surrounding historic villages and beautiful countryside, including Exmoor National Park.

Where to stay

Minehead is an ideal base to explore far and wide. From the town itself to the moorlands and hills of Exmoor and the villages and towns of Somerset and Devon.

There is a good variety of accommodation to suit families, couples or lone travellers, whether you are on a budget or treating yourself to a luxury break. You can please yourself with a self-catering apartment or cottage, or be pampered with a full English breakfast in a B&B or hotel.  Whatever you choose, you're guaranteed a warm welcome from your hosts.
